Guest guest
hi everyone-i'm brand new here. my daughter was diagnosed last april. she has had chemo and her surgery was nov4th. now she will have 5 weeks of radiation and 5fu. then 1 month off followed by 8 more chemos. she's doing very well, still going to college through it all! 12 more credits and she will be an engineer! these next few months will be be very tough, though. i was wondering if anyone out there had a transrectal ultrasound with needle biopsy to diagnose your condition? my daughter developed a terrible infection following this procedure and spent 10 days in the hospital on massive doses of antibiotics and a morphine pump. she was never prescribed antibiotics before the biopsy which probably would have prevented the infection. it's just something i am curious about. we were so scared because she wasn't able to start her chemo when she was supposed to. you guys are an inspiration. what a great support you are! susan
