Hi everyone!

As most of you know I'm leaving tomorrow around noon for a long awaited vacation. I'm going to Cape Virginia, a tiny town on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay on the Delmarva peninsula. We've rented a house 1 block from the beach. I'm traveling with my son Matt and his girlfriend . We are all very excited. In fact my son has called me 4 times today with different questions....Do we need to bring towels?(No, towels are supplied)....Is there a DVD player?(Yes) Is there WiFi in the house?(No) Can we rent a kayak? (Yes) Neither of us has had a real vacation in years so our enthusiasm is a little over the top.

Zion has graciously agreed to cover the administrative duties of moderating the website. She'll be approving new membership requests and just generally keeping an eye on things. I told her the group generally runs itself and I fully expect you all won't even notice I'm not here.

There is no wifi in the house (though you never know what the situation is for sure till you get there and turn your computer on) There is wifi in the local library and in a coffee shop in town both of which are within walking distance of our house so I will pop in during the week but I won't be able to be here on any kind of regular predictable schedule.

I'll be here till noon or so tomorrow, after that I'm off. I will be thinking of you all and wishing we could have a big beach get together with EVERYONE!!
