Guest guest
Sounds like you have a history - I'm glad you found Andy! So, perhaps feeling better on higher (25mg) doses of chelator rather than lower is just a result of the chelator helping. Some people do feel better on round, whereas others find that the side effects are worse and annoying. I personally feel really good the day after the day after a round, if you know what I mean. After the day of " ick " , I tend to feel really clear headed. That 1.5hr dosing sounds grueling. I wonder if you might be able to do 2hrs at night, since the metabolism is slower? That might help keep you from getting run down from lack of sleep, during rounds. Dave. -------- Posted by: " beigetable " beigetable@... beigetable Tue Jun 17, 2008 9:35 am (PDT) 1. Perhaps a relevant factor is what motivated me to chelate: getting sick from 6 weeks of high-dose (300 or 600 mg!) ALA or R-ALA used once or twice per day as an antioxidant, in conjunction with far infrared sauna use, as recommended by Sherry in her unfortunate book Detoxify or Die. This was before I knew or cared about metal toxicity. 2. I'm not sure what my tolerance at present is for 3 hour dosing; the experience I described was 2-3 years ago, and until a couple of weeks ago I had not chelated for a year. Other people have reported that when they were highly toxic they needed very frequent dosing, then became more tolerant to a 3 hour schedule. 3. I am presently 3 days into a round of 12.5 mg each DMSA and ALA on a 1.5 hour around the clock dosing schedule. At first the sleep interruption was pretty unpleasant, but I am starting to adjust to it to a degree. The experience is noticeably smoother than a 2 hour dosing schedule, and I can feel beneficial effects from the 50% increase in chelator use per day, but I don't think I want to keep up this schedule, at least at night.
