UIP (usual interstitial pneumonia) is generally a term that is interchangable with IPF. BOOP stands for Bronchiolitis Olibterans Organizing Pneumonia. There are different types of BOOP so one thing you might want to ask your doctor is which type of BOOP do you have. I would also ask the doctor, now that we know exactly what I have, what's next? What type of treatment etc etc.

Hi everyone,I finally received the results of my lung biopsy report today. It shows that I have "UIP" and "BOOP".
