Guest guest
Hello , > If someone who was not mercury poisoned chelated with ALA, would they > experience any negative affects? I asked the same question to this group some time ago, and got a similar answer to the one I saw to your post. However, I have not seen any data backing up the claim that frequent dose ALA chelation would *not* induce some kind of side effects in a non Hg-toxic person. ALA is a common supplement in some bodybuilding circles for its effect on fat metabolism. Try searching some body building sites and see what they say about ALA. From what I've seen, the bodybuilders only take a couple of pills every day, and the doses can be quite high (~100-400 mg). /Finkle
Guest guest
Liz, I am glad you have found out about chelating for your son's sake. I searched for a cause for my illness for 20 yrs before finding out about mercury and frequent dose chelation. I am thinking that there is just so much merc in there that even after 20 rounds there is still to too much to see improvement. And I could definitely be dumping at 5 months. It is interesting that your son's symptoms got worse after 3 weeks with no chelation. That strengthens my resolve to keep it up regardless.
