Guest guest
, If your friend's child might have apraxia, she needs to find out whether it is global (as in motor control issues) or just verbal. My son was severely verbally apraxic but no longer carries that diagnosis due to intensive 1:1 speech therapy which incorporated oral motor exercises. He also started speaking spontaneously once I added Nordic Natural's PRO-EFA supplement to his daily regimen. It is a lemon-flavored fish oil capsule. A lot of parents have seen great results with this. Here are a couple of good resources: www.apraxia-kids.org www.apraxia.cc Also a good email group at yahoo: childrensapraxianet And you can join another good email group via the apraxia-kids website. Hope this helps, BJ in polis, MD
