Caro -

I've used both their 7 day service for urgently needed technical

manuals, and the slower surface mail for non-urgent stuff,

which arrived in about 3 weeks, IIRC. Must admit the postal

charges always seem rather steep, so I only use Amazon.com for

books I cannot source in the UK, and for sending presents to

friends in the US & Canada.

Caroline, I am having loads of problems with getting stock from the US. Some

things that I ordered before Sept 11th have yet to turn up, while other things

ordered later are here already. I've got to the stage now where I don't know

whether I'm coming or going!
