Guest guest
Hello everyone I am new to the group and have been reading posts for a few days. Boy do I need some moral support from those who have been through this - not to say that my family is not supportive! I am 41 years old, was diagnosed 11/04 Stage 3 with 3 or 12 lymph nodes, had 6 weeks radiation/chemo -5FU/Leucovorin; 12 weeks off, resection and J-Pouch 3/05, 12 more weeks of chemo/Folfox; then Iliostomy reversal in August after a long 5-6months and many complications! I have 5 wonderful children 21, 20, 17,. 5 and 4 - they are all scared as am I about this recurring. For now, I take the meaning to be that I should do everything I can NOW! Especially vacations, classes, gardens and jewelry, lol! Seriously, it is a tough subject to think about - the reoccurance possibility - and nobody around me wants to hear me " talk like that. " I am particularly in need of some advice for getting the new J=Pouch, rectum and bowels normalized. I am experiencing chronic Diarrhea, incontinence and go back and forth on and off fiber supplements. Fiber rich foods make this problem worse. I was checked for C-Diff it was neg. Help!
