Guest guest
OK, this is off topic.... I have been using hard plastic Nalgene brand water bottles for almost a decade. I drink out of one constantly (at work, the gym, in the car, at night, etc). They are made from the Lexan brand of polycarbonate. Recently, I have noticed bad press about Lexan, along with REI (Outdoor Store) stating as of last April, they no longer will even carry water bottles made out of Lexan. This is because of BPA risk (which was shown to mess with the endocrine system: http://www.mysigg.com/images/assets/FitnessPlus_Mar06.pdf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bisphenol_A Now I see Aluminum bottles (like SIGG brand) being promoted for drinking. They claim to have a liner and not leech anything into the water...but that's what I used to hear about plastic Nalgene bottles!!! What's the best solution here??? Do I continue with the plastic bottles in spite of what is now know about BPAs, or do I switch to Aluminum and hope they honestly don't put any metal into my water? Confused, Ed
