Guest guest
I received my saliva test results, and I'm confused about how to proceed. Here is what it shows: free cortisol rhythm 7-8 am 10 depressed ref 13-24 nM 11-noon 3 depressed 5-10 nM 4-5pm 4 normal 3-8 nM 11pm-midnight 4 normal 1-4 nM remarks-depressed morning cortisol <13 nM is suggestive of marginal Hypothalmic Pituitary Adrenal performance So does this mean I need cortisol? There is a chart that indicates levels at which cortisol should be supplemented(morning and noon for my levels), but it doesn't specifically state this under my restoration plan. Will most physicians know how to interpret this test, and believe it is accurate? I did tell my doctor I was having this test done. I want to get started with chelation soon, but I knew my adrenals needed help. The restoration plan states to consider pregnenolone 1mg/kg/day in two divided doses Pantothenic acid-some is in my B50 complex ehich I take twice day Pyridixine elemental zinc-currently taking 50 mg copper 1mg BID I have high levels of copper in hair, and am taking molybdenum and zinc to reduce, reducing intake of copper foods ascorbic acid free form bioflavonoids biotin-some is in my B50 complex DHEA 6 normal ref 3-10 ng/ml Insulin Fasting <3 normal 3-12 post-prandial <3 depressed optimal 5-20 remarks-consider closer examination of challenge meal composition to rule out pre-diabetic tendencies 17-OH Progesterone 37 normal optimal 22-100pg/ml Total salivary SIgA 7 depressed normal 25-60 mg/dl borderline 20-25 My level is really really low... it gives four reasons this may be depressed. Rule out possibility of systemic deficit in capacity to produce IgA-an inherited problem Gliadin Ab, SIgA 9 negative Would this be affected by eliminating all gluten from my diet for the last eight months, or would the antibodies still be there if I had a problem with gluten? Thanks for any thoughts! Cindy
