Guest guest
First, to whom do you apply for a fencing grant? Any of you who've done this please let me know. Can you still get it if you get social security? I called the 'call before you dig' today in preparation of the fencing. I found a guy who'll auger out the holes with his tractor for 60 bucks, the price of renting a manual auger. I'd love to have vinyl fencing. Of course, that's not cheap. But it lasts a lifetime and NO MAINTENANCE. The south side of my property already has a wood privacy fence. We've been slowly putting in one panel at a time, and in three years we've done all of 15 panels. This is where I have my temporary chicken wire fence, to stretch from the wood fence to the house, but doesn't nearly span my entire yard. We have two panels to go until we hit the corner of the lot. We had decided to go ahead and chain link the rest because it was cheaper, but i'm finding that once you buy all the fittings and railings, it's not so much cheaper. I will not put up wood fence clear around my yard because the maintenance would be too much.
