I am getting so annoyed at everyone being so literal

Ok venting commences. Everyone but me in this house is literal. I can not be

sarcastic, can not be flippant and have to speak in slow simple directions.

It's driving me nuts. It's taking away from who I am. I've always been a

sarcastic person.

yep! i know what you mean - simplified language, clear concise meaning. i

remember when we first started seeing a speech pathologist and she said we had

to simplify our language and replace things like " did you want another glass of

apple juice honey? " with " more juice " i felt like a caveman! i too am

sarcastic and i realise sarcasm just doesn't fly in this house, nor do

hyperbolical statements, metaphors, personification, similes, rhetorical

questions............................... hmph!!!
