Guest guest
Hi everyone - I've been very quiet for a while - a lot going on, I haven't stopped reading, but now I think/hope I've got a bit more time to post too. First we went to Devon for a week and had a wonderful time, though it seems like an age ago. Then computer died - big time - wouldn't even switch on. A new battery fixed it, but now it doesn't recognise the A drive and has created a B drive instead and won't update my Norton antivirus over the internet (despite uninstalling and reinstalling). Someone techy has had a look, but no joy. As it works, sort of (other than now having a really out of date virus checker) I'm leaving well alone, until I can afford a new one, or some time without one, when I can fiddle a bit more. Then I had the dreaded Inland Revenue PAYE visit. Thankfully it was fine. He was a very nice chap and didn't find anything untoward. Not quite over though, as he didn't know anything about IR35 (tax rules for contractors) so he's going to write requesting a load of info, which he will refer to his specialist to review. But definitely the worst over. NNS was on Saturday, hard work, but raised £235 (see post on main list). Still lots I ought to be doing, (the few that spring to mind are branch year end accounts, my own accounts as I have to pay PAYE and VAT this month, finishing my sections of our branch Under 3's guide - have to spend lottery grant by December or lose the money and suddenly Dec seems very close...) And somehow I wanted to buy a new dress for the Ball next week, but finding time seems unlikely - just like losing all the weight I'd intended to .. ho hum. Looking forward to chatting again Todman Treasurer, Stansted Branch (R5) Mum to , 3¾
Guest guest
Hello , Thought you'd been quiet. Glad to hear things went well with the Inland Revenue, I know you were dreading it. Can't imagine what I'd do without a computer esp. with DH being away a in the evenings at the moment. Nice to see you back. phine (Mum to 4 & Ben nearly 3, Cambridge NCT) Hi everyone - I've been very quiet for a while -
