All it will do is make a funny hum....ho hum...it'll be back to bashing clothes with a club soon I can see, not as much fun as on site in the sumshine! Hope your email sorts out soon and here's my address for your netscape book!! (BTW I got Telling Liddy today) love Caro Am being used as a climbing frame by something with no pants on errum yeucch! Guest guest
I thought that message had been swallowed by the black hole!! I've downloaded Eudora - had a fun day playing with the chillies and then turned them off, and am now perfectly happy again (except that DH can't remember his password, so can't access his mail - but Freeserve won't tell me what it is, and he won't ring them. So that's his problem!!) Eudora has retrieved my address book from the OE files knocking around somewhere. That done, I must remember to track down the OE files and delete them sometime. We have the most fearful amount of rubbish sitting on our C drive... I haven't read *anything* in ages - not Ladder of Years, not Telling Liddy. Have started The Miracle Life of Edgar Mint, can't remember author, and Back Roads by Tawni O'Dell (wonderful name!) but both are sitting on bedside table awaiting return of motivation. However, I have made a lovely blanket skirt, so am feeling slightly redeemed (but how hard can it be to put 4 darts and a button on a length of wool?!) Hope your machinery is sorted soon - a propos of bashing with clubs brings back a lovely memory of standing on my room's balcony in Ahmedabad on a work trip, once, watching someone who I fervently hoped wasn't the hotel's dhobi-wallah washing a batch of sheets on a rock in the river - hitting them with a large stick and pointedly ignoring the string of water buffalo swimming past and stirring up all kinds of black mud and I-shudder-to-think-what-else which was washing over his laundry. Also a group of women and girls in beautiful saris and jewellery on the plateau in Mahbaleshwar, washing the most gorgeous silks and saris in a muddy puddle. And all so beautifully groomed and turned out, so I guess muddy puddles must have some restorative qualities! Anyway, with a bit of luck Mr Bosch or Mr Siemens will sort out your problems, and it won't come to that...
