Guest guest
Well, I did it! I have just handed in my notice to my employer of 7 years, and boy was he surprised, he actually was speechless! So I will be joining the leagues of 'stay at home mothers' again. To be honest I am really looking forward to my freedom! quite quite actually! Loads more coffee mornings etc. I decided to leave because DH has just been accepted onto a tree surgery course which should increase his income considerably and I have just started selling my decorated glass at craft fairs for a bit of pocket money! Also the Antenatal Teacher training is taking the strain and needs a bit more time than I have been giving it recently. Anyway, that is that. From Christmas I will be a free woman, apart from toddler group, NCT membership, ANT training, step-mothering, being a wife, accountant for DH, decorating my glass for craft fairs and the such like. Oh and being a mummy. Freedommmmm. Kirsten Mum to (2 years, just!) Step-mom to Shelby (6yrs) Trainee ANT, and Memb-sec Woking and Knaphill Branches. Guest guest
Well done you. There's always a bit of question mark over whether or not you're doing the right thing when you make such big decisions, but you sound as if you have made your mind up and looking forward to the future. Good for you - enjoy it. Todman Treasurer, Stansted Branch (R5) Mum to , 3¾ Subject: Handed in my notice > Well, I did it! Guest guest
Good for you Kirsten! I bet you already feel some freedom having made the decision, plus you also have some time to think about it knowing that it's happening soon. You won't know what to do with yourself, you'll have to much time on your hands - I am joking of course!! I would have loved to come to the craft fair you were at last Sunday, but a combination of things along with the weather meant that we didn't make it. Please do let me know where/when the next one is though. Thanks, Hannah Handed in my notice Well, I did it! Guest guest
Well done Kirsten ;o) Hope you find it a lovely experience ;o) Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already. Guest guest
Me too, last week! Handed in my notice on Monday, had my mammogram on Tuesday, told the nanny on Wednesday (worst bit). So please get ready to pick up the pieces mid-January... it should take me about 2 weeks to panic. Karina > >Well, I did it! Guest guest
Great news Kirsten - the more the merrier here! and am sure you won't regret it re the children - and your own personal intellectual freedom as well! Not to mention being able to meet up with people in the day and imbibe coffee whilst chatting and watching children - there is a soft play area in a place north west of Guildford will try to find the name again & perhaps we could all meet up whilst the children have fun... love Caro but do keep me > posted because I love your glasses! > > Anneliese and Toddler Tim and Anneliese - what on earth?! Guest guest
Kirsten does wonderful painted goblets! I was referring to her craft fair notification, not some Elton /Edna Everage thing! Anneliese and Toddler Tim who's nice again this week Re: Handed in my notice Great news Kirsten - the more the merrier here! and am sure you won't regret it re the children - and your own personal intellectual freedom as well! Guest guest
Timmy would love it, they have just extended the under 4's bit and it is now much bigger, and much more fun.
