Guest guest
Well, almost! In Debenhams yesterday, I found a leaflet for the UK National Sizing Survey. If you register at www.size.org and are *selected* to take part and be measured you'll get a 20 gift voucher as a thank you. Participating stores/firms are Arcadia Group shops, House of Fraser, oasis, , Redcats, Rohan, Speedo, Tesco, Monsoon Accessorize, Grattan, GUS, N Brown Group PLC, Freemans and Littlewoods. Register on the web as above. Pick up a leaflet from a store. Or phone 0870 72 73 131 (lines open 9am-6pm M-F. Calls charged at national rate) Sounds a bit like M & S did ?last year. Men can register too, BTW. -- Sue

Somehow I think my current measurements might mess up their survey! Caroline 27 weeks and counting!

Guest guest
Caroline mentioned not entering because being pregnant she would skew the results - but I thought I would go ahead and enter anyway!! I am fed up of not being able to find maternity clothes that fit. Why is that shops that stock size 6 and 8 in 'normal' clothes don't do the same in maternity clothes? http://www.foxstitch.co.uk/ Sue Woollett wrote: > Well, almost! > > In Debenhams yesterday, I found a leaflet for the UK National Sizing > Survey. > > If you register at www.size.org and are *selected* to take part and be > measured you'll get a 20 gift voucher as a thank you. Guest guest
People who are size six and eight don't deserve to have clothes designed for them; they can go out and buy Barbie outfits. ;-) Anneliese and Toddler Tim who seems a bit more human after 7 days of hell... Guest guest
Well I've never been a 6 or 8 size, but having begun this pregnancy at 12-14 instead of 18-10 for the last two, I am really fed up with tent like maternity clothes even in those " average " sizes. Even the " fitted " stuff is not generally well cut or designed and seems to assume preg women get huge all over (I know it feels like that sometimes but it isn;t actually the case, and mat clothes do nothing for making you feel better!) I worked bl**dy hard after Susy was born to lose the weight I'd been accumulating since the age of 25, and I hate the fact that most chainstore/highstreet maternity clothes want me to camouflage that acheivment. It didn;t bother me the last times cos I was wearing large stuff anyway! I have avoided standard mat wear as much as poss this time, after all I am only pregnant, not becoming large again. Angi (and have you seen how much Barbie outfits cost? square inch for square inch they are more expensive than couture!)
