Guest guest
LOL Caroline - we got the new Dido CD for DD's birthday last week - I really like it but some of the songs are very tenacious in the memory - her voice reminds me a bit of Elkie - one of the songs makes me think of DD's dad.... :-(( love Caro PS What other music of DD's do you like? I like some of Gorilaz and Shania Twain and err. will have to look at her enormously growing collection....just to think I only got my first LP aged about 15, was Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers and second one was Carole King's Tapestry....and everyone else's first LP / ? Surely NOone's first recording was a CD ? We do have a few spring chickens on the list though !! re: silly link! > Makes me think of Cage from Ally McBeal. > Now just to get DH to fix speakers to putor > Need to be done for next week so DD1 can play her birthday pressi. Guest guest
DD1 (soon to 10) has nicked most of our CDs and I hear Queen, Tina and Meatloaf blaring out interspersed with the occasional Steps or classical - She has a strange fondness for boy choirs as well. We have got her Dido, Toploader and Savage Garden for her birthday and I will also try to get (the Toploader is more for my benefit as I love Dancing in the Moonlight). My first 2 LP - well that was Rod - Every Picture Tells a Story - and Alice Schools Out - While all my friends were into Donny and I was trying to give myself permanent brain damage listening to rock. Caroline Jersey Still known to headbang - usually due to frustration these days > PS What other music of DD's do you like? I don't like any of my kids' music choices; 15 y-o is into Eminem, 2pac, Sisqo, lots of rap in other words. Personally, I think rap should be renamed with a " c " in front of the " r " ...... However, some of my CDs have a strange habit of disappearing into their rooms, never to be seen again; Abba and Queen seem to be particular favourites! My first LP was Bridge over Troubled Water, and I was quite an expert on 70's Top Tens, as we used to listen to Radio 1 and Radio Luxembourg every evening after lights out with earplugs!!
