Guest guest
Bum, I can't remember how to spell her name Anyway, did anyone else see her article in the G2 section of the Guardian last week, about the al Jazeera television channel?? I found it really interesting to read something that was really her voice, iyswim, and not the narrator's voice written by her. Very similar - and that, and the content of the article, made me wonder how much of Eye was autobiographical... And, it was a very interesting article, inherently, what with everything going on and the fact that we're being presented al Jazeera as very much the voice of the enemy which - by all accounts - it actually isn't! Propaganda eh, dontcha love it? Actually, is it only me or is everyone else thoroughly ticked off with the bunch of racist 'jokes' doing the e-mail rounds about Afghanis generally and Bin Laden in particular? DH insists on forwarding them to me from work. Anyway, since this wurbling is bordering on the territory of impolite introduction of politics, I'll wonder off and find a link to the Soueif article.... Guest guest
Don't be too reassured, Lynda - my friends and family are often confused about my planetary origins Vicki >I am glad you posted this.
