Guest guest
Any Furby knowledge out there? Mari has yet another request for her Xmas list!! She now wants a Furby because her McD one has stopped speaking. Just had a look on Yahoo Auctions and EBay but I know nothing about them - help!! what's good value etc.? Any tips? Littlewoods catalogue have also got one in their sale leaflet (I may be too late though I've had it for weeks) - it's " now only 7.49 " - why would it be reduced to half-price? Jenni (totally bemused and confused and don't wanna get ripped off

It's one of those toys you want to take the batteries out of after the first 10 mins. Or is that 10 secs? -- Sue
Guest guest
MY hubby bought me a furby for xmas (not sure why!), and it was £14.99. I think they are cheaper now becasue they are a bit out dated, they have had their day IFYKWIM, and demand as decreased, followed naturally by the price. Hope that helps, and take my advice...if you dont want to be totally irritated, buy your child something else!! However, my dog did take to it really well, and ran off round the garden with it, whilst the furby made frightened squeaks...very realistic! (the > furby not the toddler They weren't as bad as Tamagochis, believe me! I speak from having had to babysit 2 Tamagochis while my kids were at school, feeding them, cleaning up their poos, playing games etc - honestly, it was worse than having babies!! When we progressed to Furbies it was much easier because if you put a hat over them they go to sleep for the entire day and there is no ongoing maintenance before your kids come home. Actually, we all got rather fond of the Furbies! As to why they are now half price, it is probably because they are no longer a fashionable toy and the shops are having trouble shifting them! We got ours when they first came out (actually a present from Grandma!) and I seem to recall they were something like £35 or £40 each and you could only get them in Hamleys. Guest guest
In my humble opinion Furbies come into the same category as egroups en digest ...spawn of the...pc! (wannabee Mac owner) Shall have to ask DD as I think her friend's family put Furbies to quite amusing uses Re: Furbies? MY hubby bought me a furby for xmas (not sure why!), and it was £14.99.
