Exactly the situation in our house, Sue ! DD2 has been on the waiting

list for 4 years, she went on the same time as DD1, who is 3 yrs older.

She missed going in by days in summer half term (her 7th b/day was

during half term, so her best friends - older, but who had not been on

the waiting list so long) got in.

There is a log jam cos there are fewer spaces at guides, so no Sept

intake :-(((

but after much deliberation Brown Owl has expanded the group and

allowed in 6 - including Steffi - from November - hooray! on the

condition that we have a rota of helpers. No problem for me - both girls

will be at brownies so I am free to help.
