Good NCTousekeeping

Now sisters in maternity, what's the use of a good list like this if

one can't ask good old housekeeping questions (as you may have noticed

I am prone to do)...

I bought some second hand velvet curtains from a second hand curtain

place (which tragically has just closed as I am about to go into

making historical costumes, Scarlett O'Hara eat your heart out) - they

smell a bit damp -

Someone suggested hanging them outside in the sunshine, all very well

in the springtime - any other ideas anybody?

love

Caro

(not a great housekeeper as you may have noticed)

PS Seems a long time since we had a nice washing powder

debate...actually....I've recently got these brilliant re-washable

thingys akin to nappies but for ladies periodically - much more

comfortable than those horrendously plastic covered ones you get these

days (brushed cotton) ...does anybody else wash them at 30 degrees?

Got them from the Green Woman but I swear, I hardly ever eat lentils,

(only because rest of family won't ), I don't knit tho I do sew, and

don't eat much yogurt or muesli anymore....

Seriously though, somehow between when I had DD 13 yrs ago and now,

this knitted yoghurt image seems to have arisen, which is perhaps what

Kate is coming across when her colleagues raise their eyebrows at her

membership of the NCT. 13 yrs ago it seemed to me that it was the

organisation that anyone with their head screwed on went to when

pregnant...

Would they fit in a tumbler drier with a Bounce type cloth?
