Guest guest
I have been veggie for 18 yrs and have a boy! Although my whole family is made up of girls, so I don't know about that one! Guest guest
What a load of crap, I dont believe that report for a minute, the human body is quite able to adapt to any diet as long as it is balanced, so why would being vegetarian stress the body? I have been vegetarian for 15 years and gave birth to an 8lb 13oz healthy boy. The report suggests therefore that anyone who is stressed is more likely to have a girl! Its just yet another peice of propoganda aimed at putting down vegetarians and encouraging support for meat eating. I am sure this cannot be proved to be right, and ithe report has really annoyed me, sorry...its not personal to anyone on the list, just the idiot who wrote the report! I have two boys on a vegetarian diet - but it's statistics and the research didn't find that every vegetarian mother had a girl so my experience doesn't disprove anything. Obviously the speculation doesn't impress me! -- jennifer@... Vaudin
Guest guest
Is this like the report recently saying that vegetarianism in pregnant women ‘causes’ hypospadias (did I spell that right? It’s the one where the genitals don’t seal correctly in the womb). Then I opened the article and found out that eating lots of soy causes an increase in the cases of hypospadias. Maybe the increased estrogen in the soy also causes girl babies to have a better chance of implanting? Just a thought. But I don’t think it’s horrible slanderous propaganda, because I happen to like girls and certainly wouldn’t mind having one if/when we have baby #2. Maybe I’ll up my intake of soy... Guest guest
I'd throw a spanner in the works - confirmed carnivore as is DH and we have 2 girls - BD has 3 girls by three different women and they are all carnivores as well. Guest guest
LOL.. I will HAVE to tell my veggie friend with 2 boys this ;o).. (she has been a vegetarian since she was a teenager lol and I can't ever imagine her with a daughter) Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already.
