When DS1 was born - 9 years ago exactly in 2 days time - the staff at the

hospital (Royal Free) didn't seem concerned about mobile phones. This was in

the days before digital phones. DH rang his mum when DS1 was literally

minutes old and held the phone near him so the proud grandparents could hear

their first grandchild's cries.
