Guest guest
(PS Ruthie, I'm so glad it went well this evening - that you liked > them - they must be nice to have produced such a fine lad - how did > Zehava find it? I keep on wanting to call her Zavvy like my friends' > girl sorry, am normally not keen on shortenings for the sake of it) She calls herself Zevi sometimes (like Zevi, Yeshaya's male friend). She's in a bad mood at the moment, I think it was all a bit of a strain; realising for the first time you have IN LAWS you have to be nice to, and go and stay with (horror of horrors!!), I remember all my girls finding that a real shock part of being engaged. I think Zehava's in laws will be easy going; I remember Sara's in laws insisting she came to eat with him on her own once a week while Benzy was in Yeshivah in Israel..and she hated every minute of it! She also had a bit of a moan about him being too attached to his mates; I think that's pretty standard stuff tbh; I told her she could whinge about him and men in general as much as she liked as long as it was just a whinge! She's very tired and the evening was a strain for her. I don't think she intends to have real doubts, like Tavya did. Lordy I hope not, I don't think I could take an engagement like that again! Both my Mum and MIL's best friends are Jewish too - so I can always ask them to get hold of authentic ingredients too. If it could be sent through the post I wouldn't mind packing up a few jars to send out to anyone who wants chrane, but since the jars are glass it might be a bit risky. Bubble wrap?
