Guest guest
Oh dear oh dear, all a bit stressful I'm afraid. His behaviour has been very erratic and he doesn't want to go 50% of the time. He says he doesn't like the other children. : - ( He clearly finds it tiring and is either " full of it " and silly when he gets home @ 11.45 or takes himself off to bed. All very hard to deal with. I have decided (with the teacher) to continue mornings only until Christmas. She said he has real difficulty sitting still and " assembly " is beyond him (she said it kindly but that is what she meant!) Interestingly he knows all his number and letters/sounds on his base line assessment, so he will be in the " higher " group for literacy and numeracy - though she was very reluctant to describe it as such. It is the social/developmental side he is finding difficult and as I suspected is heartbreaking. I just can't help him with it....he is only 4 after all and shouldn't have to go through this stuff! phine (Mum to 4 & Ben nearly 3, Cambridge NCT) Todman > phine - I've been meaning to ask - how is getting on at school?
