Guest guest
I hate this time of year. Just got off the phone from arranging for a sitter for for tonight...the girls have a play (drama class finale) at the public library and I decided after yesterday and this morning that there is no way I will see any of it if I have to watch him...and since the camcorder won't recharge for some reason, we can't tape it. On Sunday, will stay with a sitter from 3 pm to 8 pm or so while the rest of the family attends Elaine's ballet recital (and yes, that's on Mother's Day). On Tuesday of next week, will stay with a sitter from 6 pm till maybe 9 pm while the rest of us go to and 's end of the year band concert. On May 31, I will again have to find someone to watch for 's recorder recital. I can't imagine what it would be like to just put everyone in the car and go to any of this...and I hate that something so " normal " is completely beyond my world...and always will be. :-( Raena
Guest guest
I hate this too. My 12 year old has plenty of school functions I must attend and I know very good and well that Zach would NOT be tolerant of a situation like this. I would love for Alyx to play softball this summer too, but again, that would mean I'd have to take Zach to the games and that isn't happening. I feel Alyx has to always give up so much. I try to make it up to her. Luckily, Alyx has good strong ties with her grandparents and aunt, so they pick up a lot of the slack on that end. I know for a fact she resents not being able to do the things like we did when I was single. > I hate this time of year. > > Just got off the phone from arranging for a sitter for for > tonight...the girls have a play (drama class finale) at the public > library and I decided after yesterday and this morning that there is > no way I will see any of it if I have to watch him...and since the > camcorder won't recharge for some reason, we can't tape it. > > On Sunday, will stay with a sitter from 3 pm to 8 pm or so > while the rest of the family attends Elaine's ballet recital (and > yes, that's on Mother's Day). Guest guest
I'm sorry, Raena. I don't have any solutions, only a sympathetic ear. Guest guest
Sorry! I know what you mean. Between Alec and Miss Yessenia I miss everything that Greggory does if I take them. I missed Greggory hit the ball out to outfield his last baseball game. For Greggory that is just awesome! And I was chasing Alec down as he was running around trying to hit people and eat there food. Guest guest
I understand how you feel. We went to a family gathering over the weekend, and Zach jumped in a mud puddle, stripped down to his underware in the basement, tried to leave with my MIL, (he left and we did not even see him go out the door), threw a fit, hit my neice, and finally about an hour before we left acted like he normally does, a good kid. I was in tears thinking " Is this how it will always be? " Will we never be able to relax? He is almost 6 for crying out loud. My life sucks sometimes. Feeling discouraged and down too.. Guest guest
I believe it will get better, Libby. At almost six was hell on wheels. At ten, most people don't realize something is going on with him until they see us sign together. And then they think he's deaf. I wish it were easier for you, though. Some days just suck and the earth has no gravity. Maggie ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
