Guest guest
> Lovely picture Ruthie.. I like the outfit Zehava is wearing ;o) It was a " made " dress, done by a dressmaker for Tavya's wedding, and the fabric bought from a very expensive fabric shop in St 's Wood. She has never been sure about it, despite the fact that every time she has worn it everyone has admired it. Her intended outfit was a *very* plain black suit; the only adornment a ruffle at the bottom of the skirt, but when she put it on and looked at herself she said " Mum, I'm going to a funeral! " and it was true. No amount of dressing up took away from its austerity. And this was half an hour before we were due to leave for the reception. So panic stations and she put on this dress, I told her she looked stunning and very special, (she did) and then Yeshaya, bless him, told her she looked horrible and he has always hated that dress. Panic again, but I overrode his opinion and reassured reassured reassured. Thank heavens she listened, everyone loved her in that dress. *Anyone* could have worn her black suit, but only the star of the show could have worn that dress. For myself (not on camera thank heavens) I wore a lovely navy suit bedecked with diamanté buttons and other sparkly bits, which I bought on my last shopping trip in NYC and put away for just such an occasion. I had LOADS of compliments on it. Moishi looked a bit sullen this morning, so I wondered if he was having a problem with me, but later on Zehava told me he had said he really likes me and can see us getting on well. I think I resent the implication by Anneliese that MIL/DIL problems are almost always the MIL's fault. I got on very well with Leora, and we are still very close, despite her remarriage, all I am saying is, I had to be careful what/how I said as she tended to take things the wrong way very quickly. Her mum is exactly the same. Ruthie
