Guest guest
Glad you're still around Phyllis! I'll always consider you my 'coffee buddy' because when I first joined yours was one of the first messages I read and you had just joined too! :-) Funny what we remember! And since you asked, here's todays weather........ Athens, Greece: A cool 21C today with a slight breeze and a few clouds (hurrah)! We were promised rain this weekend but all we got was a sprinkle. Finally switched the central heating on this weekend too, just to break the chill in the evenings! Jealous? I'm such a sado, that I really really miss the clouds and the rain. You should see how excited I become when there's 'threatening' looking clouds in the sky - to no avail, it hasn't rained for months and months. The last downpour was end of June and before that........ probably January. Last winter was a very warm winter, eternal spring, which is fantastic. But when you know it's going to be a scorcher of a summer ahead I always like to store some 'coldness' inside (IYSWIM)! From a housekeeping point of view, the weather couldn't be better. Don't need tumble driers, everything gets hung outside in the sunshine and is dry within the day (winter time) or in a hour (summer time). Don't really need carpets on the floors, just a few rugs when it's cold. So not much vacuum cleaning. And no place for those dust mites to nest! I guess it's what we grow up with. Having grown up in England I'm used to the gloom and drizzle and unpredictable weather. It's taken me years to learn to stop bringing a jacket or brolley along with me whenever I see clouds in the horizons, just in case! I mean in England you're 90% going to use them - right? Can you tell I'm homesick? Janet From: plaatsch@... Subject: Re: I'm Back! but where is everybody Hello Janet and welcome back I'm still here, just a bit swamped and my brain elsewhere lately. A few people did drop off ( and Billy, for example), and we haven't heard a lot for Sue in Cyprus and some others, either. Always changing around here Glad you're back and you can make us all jealous with your weather reports... Phyllis

I'm homesick too... not for rainy days, though... I miss my snow!!!! Karina --------> > Can you tell I'm homesick? > > Janet >
