I have already put Isaac's name down as a shepherd in the hope that it will make him behave if he has something to do! Apart from eating too much and watching the TV and then moaning that there is never anything on! I don't really know. I know I have said this loads before but we have Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve and then go to mass. Then Christmas Day we just take it easy and play with the toys. Guest guest
We had our American relatives over a few years ago. It was the first time we could justify a huge feast, so I did a full Delia special with the food (my inlaws are otherwise very boring with Christmas food - same every year and an identical meal to Thanksgiving which is one month earlier). Lots to drink too. Other than the food, I seem to remember playing silly party games that they would never do in the US. They also enjoyed the Christmas specials on TV, not that we watched a lot. It was a lot of work, but very enjoyable with plenty of people to help out. And I cook a la Floyd. I had everything planned to military precision beforehand - not that anyone knew. It's hard to fit in shopping, cooking, cleaning etc when you have a houseful and the planning was invaluable. Joyce uk christmas ideas My parents + baby sister + man are all coming over to the uk for christmas for the first time (usually we do either/or - we either go back to Norway to celebrate with my family, or stay in the UK to celebrate with DH's family). Anyway, they'll just be here from 22 to 26, and we'll have Norwegian celebrations on the 24 and then English ones on the 26. I just wondered if you guys (girls, I mean) have any ideas for stuff we should do to make sure their Christmas becomes special, and " English " ? DH's family are not very Christmassy, so no ideas there, other than the turkey on the 25th. Karina
