i suspected I might be pregnant, as we have been trying. I have only had one

period since giving up breast feeding, and I worked out my next one was due

today. I took a test yesterday and it was negative, but no period yet. I

have the same tummp pains I had last time, feel headachy, metal taste etc.

Could the test be wrong, or do you think I could be imagining the symptoms

becasue I want the baby so much?

The first time I was pregnant, I was suprised, as I had had such bad period

pain, but without the period, so I took a test, and was pregnant, and my Dr

said the pains were from the egg implanting!

it's not unuseal for the tests to show negative when your pregnant very

early on, it depends on how good the test is - so don't give up hope yet! - wait

another day or two and try again.

BTW a really cheap place to get pregnancy test kits from is

http://www.pregnancytesting.freeserve.co.uk/

there only £4 for one or £6 for two - or 5 for £12!! including first class post,

there a really quick service I ordered one at 2pm one day and it was with me the

next day.

The test might not be sensitive enough to detect a

pregnancy this early on. Wait a couple of days and test

again. If your periods have just started up again they

might still be irregular, so you might just be a bit late

this time. I hope you’re not, and the next test shows that

elusive line :)

If you’re not and have to keep trying, you might want to

have some other TTC-ers (trying to conceive) to chat with

and compare notes. There is a good bulletin board at

parentsplace.com (once on their main page, go to ‘Boards’

and then look for ‘Trying to Conceive’) that I used until

recently. The majority are Americans, but there are quite a

few British, Canadians, Australians, etc. I think other

parenting websites have the same sort of thing, so you

might be able to find one closer to home, but that’s the

one I have experience with and it was a helpful and

informative experience.

Positive test ‘vibes’ to you :)
