Oh good. Problem is Ruthie he can wind you up like a clock work mouse:) The

old saying is that little girls wrap their daddies around their finger and

little boys their mums. Having said that he was probably a little rattled with

his sister getting engaged and not being around at the introduction to put his

brotherly size nine in - so to speak and now that he has met Moishi in a less

formal setting he can now tell him all those dreadful things that not sister

wants her little brother to say.

Oh I know ,and sometimes deliberately too.

The old saying is that little girls wrap their daddies around

their finger and little boys their mums. Having said that he was

probably a little rattled with his sister getting engaged and not

being around at the introduction to put his brotherly size nine in -

ten and a half! :))

so to speak and now that he has met Moishi in a less formal setting he

can now tell him all those dreadful things that not sister wants her

little brother to say.

He wasn't that keen on Moishi at first meeting, but now he has got to

know him in yeshivah setting, and Moishi has *really* made an effort

with him, he likes him a LOT . I'm so glad.

A relieved Ruthie who has no doubt some more grey hairs this week!

LOL!!!

No, Moishi is at the same Yeshiva as Dov, a very big impersonal one

called The Mir in the Geulah area of Jerusalem. Very good for more

advanced and motivated Yeshiva students who are well able to study on

their own without supervision or direction, not so good for beginners

like Yeshaya who have been cooling their heels in school, not getting

on so well with their religious studies and who need a really good

inspirational and charismatic Rabbi to show them how. In other words,

the Mir is more of a *second* step than a first one. Yeshaya's

Yeshivah is called Medrash Shmuel, and is very close to our house in

another area of Jerusalem altogether. Rabbi Moskovits is the head,

and the boys worship him. Without him there would be no yeshivah.

Here's a pic of my Yeshaya and Zehava at the engagement party.

Good news Ruthie I hope things continue smoothly.

Having fun with Hannah at the moment she is *supposedly* saying

things to her dad like I let my sisters boyfriend take her out for

the day on his own and that dp has smacked her(he's never been

on his own with them so I KNOW this is not true)and I would NEVER let

my sisters boyfriend be alone with her he hasn't even seen us for

weeks.HELP what do I have ahead she's only 3 1/2yrs.I can't be sure

she's said any of this of course they might be making it up to cause

trouble so haven't asked Hannah about any of it.It's very unsettling

though.

Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant!

Thanks Sonjia.

I spoke to him tonight after Sabbath. He seems fine and very happy.

When I asked him about the " depressed " episode, he said that he had

found a mentor to talk to who had helped him hugely. He described him

(amusingly I thought!) thus:

" You know how it is with Azariah, he's easy to talk to but gives lousy

advice? Well this guy is easy to talk to but gives GOOD advice. "

LOL Ruthie just what he needs by the sound of it some GOOD advice ,of

course as a mother you can never give good advice.

Can't remember who it was who said something along the lines of:

When I was 16 my father new nothing of worth.....it's amazing what

the old guy learned in ten years.

Oh absolutely so. Nothing like peer group advice when you're a teen.

Parents just *don't* understand do they? :)
