Guest guest
It happened again - when I turned my computer on there was a little message box which said, and I quote; HTML Application (Yellow triangle containing an '!') Kagou-Anti-Kro$oft says not today! and an " OK " box, which when clicked got rid off it, but closed down the whole kaboosh. It started up normally afterwards, as before. What on earth is this - it happened a few weeks/months ago and half scared me witless - I thought I had a virus. Have I? Or is it my Anti-Virus (Norton) telling me that it had found something? TIA Ruth

But don't panic. Viruses are not magic. It is called Kak (a variant of kakworm). See http://vil.nai.com/vil/virusSummary.asp?virus_k=10509 for details or http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/dyn/11675.html for Symantec's (they own Norton) take on it. Details sent direct. .... Oh dear, I hadn't even noticed you addressing me in the subject until just now. Am I that obvious? james

I'm amazed (again) at the ease with which you are able to help, but dismayed that I do have a virus on my computer. Will it be okay just to ignore it (as it only crops up on the 1st of each month - and my DH will be home a few days after the next one is due, so he can help me to follow the instructions on the sites you suggested - or will it turn nasty if I leave it again; I've had it since last month). Was it a co-incidence that Virgin wouldn't let me onto the Internet for most of today or is that the virus too? BTW, how is Eva? Hope she is okay and DW too of course! Is there anyone else who might be able to help with the instructions? > Was it a co-incidence that Virgin wouldn't let me > onto the Internet for most of today or is that the virus too? I doubt it > BTW, how is Eva? Hope she is okay and DW too of course! Eva is very well thanks. DW is tired (as am I) but we are coping most days. We learned the usefull lessons on Friday that breast does not need to be used *every* time she cries and that she will often go to sleep after crying for a few minutes. That is starting to make things easier to cope with
