I rather liked a cop-out I saw on an American calendar

today, calling

31st Oct Pumpkin Day...

well, it was a quilting calendar, does this make more sense?!

but Phyllis *also* wrote in another email

" There is a good bulletin board at

parentsplace.com (once on their main page, go to 'Boards'

and then look for 'Trying to Conceive') that I used until

recently. "

and I am suspicious.... Let's face it gals, we have very sensitive

antennae to this sort of slip....

love

Congratulations, the 6th is my middle sons birthday, but with his flaming

temper perhaps you should aim for the 3rd!

My excuse was that he was my birthday present from DH!

I was the year after you and also in the heat - he spent the first few weeks

in a vest and nappy covered with a sheet. Mind you given the chance he would

still be out in T-shirt and shorts - I have persuaded him that tracksuit

bottoms and T-shirt is OK. We will build up to coats by the time it is

snowing.

wishes still

accepted!) or Georgi's (1st Nov)

Well spotted Caro! You win the prize!

It wasn’t actually a slip, I figured I would stick in

little hints until someone got it. No rush, I just found

out about a week ago and am due in early July (3rd or 6th

depending on who’s calculating). So far so good and I

barely feel pregnant. Also having some fuss with the

hospital, as they try not to give you any information, and

yet I want to be sure to be in the one-to-one midwife

scheme. Ah well.

Well done! hope it continues going well for you. i have a July

baby - it's an nice time of year to have a baby - although a little bit

hot in the last few weeks (but at least you don't have to wear

tights!)

I had opposite season babies too - nothing was the right size at

the right time, of the baby clothes i had saved from DS1...gave

me an excuse to go shopping though!

Congratulations!

Don't forget to sort out your brolly licence with for the new

baby before it arrives. Are there special licences for rain hoods on

pushchairs?

Oh what wonderful news! Much love and congratulations. Fingers

crossed that the time between now and July passes quickly, quietly

and easily!

Congrats from me too :) DS was born on the 7th July 1994, in the

middle of a heatwave, so I had to figure out how to keep him cool

instead of trying to keep him warm like all the books said I should...

I wonder what it is about the month of October that keeps lots of us

so busy...!

summer toddler to look forward to! Lovely

Yes, my photos of that time are of DS as a baby dressed only in

nappies and T-Shirts, the nappies were " real " ones with pretty velcro

fastened covers. I had the nappy inserts collected/delivered each

week freshly laundered - bliss! He doesn't like being dressed

properly even now! Ahh, memories....

It's MY birthday 2 days before DH comes home this time....LOL!! I

wonder....

Congratulations!! Kitty was a late July baby and I can't say I was overly

bothered by the heat.

Angi, durrr, anad you must have spent your bday shopping for naked

Barbies!

happy bday Angi and Georgi who Toby hopes to meet one day! He was

dying to say 'I am 4' to someone else who could reply I am 4 too!

Must have had a different climate 16 miles up the A32 from us then....

I was **roasted** that summer:-) (or maybe it was just that the 6 days

between the 22 and the 28th were extraordinarily hot!!)

No - think its more to do with the fact that I really hate cold weather and

have to be sitting on top of a heater to feel really warm.
