Guest guest
i think you were right to move up your appointment. i wonder what the doctor is waiting for? his head looks very much like my alex (also 7 months old with tort and plagiocephaly). i would suggest getting a second opinion or asking your pediatrician to write a script for it. you are his mum and you know best. insist on it. best of luck. please keep us posted.hollymum to alex, in doc band since 1/5/09On Tue, Jan 13, 2009 at 7:21 PM, Kate <rtkate@...> wrote: Hello everyone. I just posted two pictures of my son Connor's head, these were taken about a month ago, filed under Connor C in the C folder. I would love your opinions about what you all think about his head shape. I've had him to a cranial facial specialist twice now and he is at this point just following it now..no helmet..yet. I was supposed to go back in February but moved it to this week because I am just getting so concerned since we are running out of time. He is now a little over 7 months old. Connor has tort which has improved a lot but he still favors the left side, and repositioning him is even harder now since he can roll. I am just getting so upset over this and don't know what to do at this point. The pics don't show it but his ears are missaligned. Guest guest
I think it;s good you are going back. I see the plagio but it also looks abit scaphy. Where are you going for the eval? Guest guest
Kate, Just like the others suggested you do, get a Rx and band your baby. It's not too late, but it takes time to get things going and his plagio is definitely visible to me. Get some numbers from Cranial Technologies or Orthomerica. Demand a prescription for treatment and get started. Your baby is still growing and will see good if not perfect progress once you band. Oh, and make sure you choose the best band provider in your area...
