Guest guest Posted November 2, 2001 Report Share Posted November 2, 2001 Hi everyone haven't been around much lately had a few problems lately with my ex regarding when he can take the children.Wasn't very happy last week when he didn't bring them back on the Sunday as he was meant to and so Hannah missed school on Monday.Anyway to take my mind off it I have decided I would like to try to play the fiddle Hee Hee yes me not the children. I am having difficulty locating a cheap violin to start with though as there are not many music shops around here.So I was just wondering if anyone had one languishing in a cupboard that they weren't sure what to do with or any other suggestions. I can't afford much but would be willing to pay something reasonable + postage.Have been told to look out for a Primavera/Stentor or Antoni. Guest guest Posted November 3, 2001 Report Share Posted November 3, 2001 Sonija - I have a very ancient violin that was cheap which you could borrow for a while, though I would like it back eventually because of memories of who I was with when I bought it (as a student, in Aberdeen on a visit) - will have a look at it and see how many strings or bow hairs it's missing.
