Thanks Fiona, I think the hassle is going to be because I haemorrhaged

with both my DDs. DD1 was 8lb 15 and I lost over a litre of blood and

was quite poorly. DD2 was better (7lb 15) and lost about 700ml. I

cannot remember whether I started to bleed after delivering placenta

or before so the midwife requested my notes and apparently the

consultant said he wanted to see me!

Funnily enough, the hospital were quite happy for me to have a water

birth with DD2 but this did not happen as Pembury had only just got

the birthing pool (rather behind the times down here in deepest Kent!)

and they did not have a " water birth " midwife on when DD2 was born

(Sunday morning before a Bank Holiday) so it did not happen.

I will let you know how I got on and whether I need any help fighting

the consultant. Thanks!
