Guest guest
Hmm, interesting! I have to say that I suspect a lot of quackery in this discipline... They test various muscle groups not for themselves so much but for what they represent (like acupuncture or acupressure, each muscle group relates to an organ) and when they find weaknesses they hold vitamins or minerals against you to see what makes a difference and establish needs. THe other thing that she did for me was realign my neck (apparently a v. common problem) and start trying to equalise/straighten me up, plus also massage and some acupressure. But a lot of the treatment is based round vitamin and mineral supplements. I wonder if the case you describe could have been a problem with manipulation of the neck? After all, I've heard of people having mild strokes caused by badly aligned hairdressers' basins. Just a thought. His problems were incidentally solved by going to see a Dr in Lewes who treated him with vitamins and he has been 150% better since then...he takes a multivitamin, a zinc and a berocca every day and took only a week to get a lot better. Guest guest
I had a taster session at the NCT family fun day in the summer, when a bit of acupressure freed my shoulder (perpetually giving me trouble) so I thought I'd ask Dad for money for a full appointment for my birthday - on the " try anything once " principle! I went in saying " basically, neck and shoulder constantly a mess, have zero stress threshold, can you help? " I'm going back in a fortnight... I still think that Technique is what I really need for my neck and shoulder, but I don't think that the book alone will sort me out.
