Time does heal

You long timers on the list will know of our baby who died shortly

after he was born.

Today would have been his 8th birthday.

For the first few years after his birth the 1st of November was always very

difficult for me - and I hated it.

Today - 8 years on - I got through the day like any other. Took the kids to

school, went to work, picked them up again, shouted at them etc. I haven't

forgotten what day it is - I just know that I feel " normal " (whatever normal

is :-)).

It is a lovely day (hitting 29 degrees), and am also very excited as I am off

to see Robbie in concert tonight. I never thought I would be able

to feel like this on a 1st November.

So, yes, for me anyhow, time has healed. I will never forget, and I am sure

there will be days when I feel very sad, but that raw hurt has gone.
