Guest guest
Can anyone help me with making a gluten-free cake for work next week? I have a recipe which is not taken from a gluten-free cookbook but on the surface looks to be. I just need to check the ingredients as one of the guys at work got thrilled at the idea I might actually bring in a luxury cake he could eat - he has a book which lists all the brands of food he can eat - I can take this recipe to him to check but I wanted to go shopping today. Anyway, here's the ingredient list:: 250g dark chocolate 125g unsalted butter 6 eggs, 2 whole, 4 separated 175g caster sugar 500ml double cream 1tsp vanilla extract Cocoa for sprinkling Cointreau Zest of an orange Notes: I have in my cupboard Cadburys Cocoa which says it is 100% cocoa Lindt choc (it's the Lindt Excellence 70% cocoa dark extra fine) has these ingredients listed: cocoa mass sugar cocoa butter natural flavour: vanilla emulsifier: soya lecithin may contain traces of peanuts, hazelnuts, almonds and milk I'd buy Lurpak butter I have Supercook Vanilla Extract Thanks for any help. -- Sue
