Mum suffers from arthritic spurs in the neck that makes having her hair washed in a salon very difficult and potentially dangerous. The doc. told her that it is a problem mainly seen in older women who have had children - related to having heavy toddlers who think mummies neck makes a excellent swing! she is not allowed to lift anything above shoulder level - no pegging out washing or cleaning windows.
