Anyone who can help me please? For my toddler group we intend on making one of

those black card with a silver fingerprint on it with a calendar and this little

poem that I have lost... It goes something like

Sometimes you get discouraged because I am so small

and often leave my fingerprints on .......

and then ends with

just so you can remember just how small my fingers were in December..

Anyone??

Lonnie

mama to Phoebe and Eloisa and expecting a Christmas delivery..

When the jar is always full of biscuits

I put the first line into " google. " Lots of responses.

Sometimes you get discouraged because I am so small, and always leave

my fingerprints on furniture and walls. But everyday I am growing,

and I will be

grown up someday. And those tiny handprints will surely fade

away. So, here's a final handprint, just so you can recall, exactly

how my fingers looked when

I was very small.

Or another version I found

Sometimes you get discouraged

because I am so small

and always leave my fingerprints

on the furniture and the wall

but everyday I am growing up,

and soon I will be so tall

that these little fingerprints

will be hard to recall.

So, here's a final hand print

so someday you can say

this is how your fingers

looked on the Window Pane.

Thank you Ruthie ;o)

Didn't even occur to me to put it into a search engine (pg brain <g>)

I think I like the second version the best though it was the first I knew ;o)

I have this one on a calendar with two little paw prints :)

There used to be so many

of my finger prints to see

on furniture and walls and things

from sticky, grubby me.

But if you stop to think a while

you'll see I'm growing fast

those little hand prints disappear

you can't bring back what's passed.

So here's a small reminder

to keep, not throw away

of tiny hands and how they looked

to make you smile one day.
