Guest guest
AArgh - we have a totally neurotic dog ( rehomed, abused childhood all that jazz) who makes a fearsome noise at visitors, we make strenuous efforts to keep him in if post hasn't been, expecting deliveries etc. Anyway 4 months ago DH decided to tackle postman about leaving the gate open ( why couldn't he just stay mum I don't know) so PO responded with a letter asking us to keep said noisy dog inside. Which we have done totally - despite post coming anytime from 8 -10.30 am apart from this Saturday when DH ( again!!) was up and I was having a lie -in/recuperation, let dog out and he barked at postie so now we have a lovely letter telling us that we will get no more mail deliveries and I have to go and get it. Still can't drive, hacked off with DH for not remembering to keep dog in, hacked off with dog for barking at postmen, hacked off with PO for being so quick off the mark to suspend deliveries when we've had only this one day in 4 months - poo, bum etc :-( Curran Mum to Tim (8), (6), (3) and Philip (1)
Guest guest
, can you get one of those US type post boxes at your gate so that your scared postman can just leave it there? It might solve your problem, but I can well understand you being hacked off with everyone who's caused the situation in the first place! Hannah no mail - but in real life a lovely letter telling us that we will get no more mail deliveries and I have to go and get it. Guest guest
Only problem with the mail box idea , which is otherwise pretty good, is that you will have to dress up to collect your post, as in Caroline P's recently posted joke composed by a man.... Caro Do hope you are making steady progress to feeling better and that the dog does at least cuddle up to you and console you for everything else! > , can you get one of those US type post boxes at your gate so that your > scared postman can just leave it there?
