Don't like it at all - I miss the drop of letters thru the letter box, the snails eat the mail if I'm not quick, it get wet when it rains, and I hate the thought of people being able to get at my mail. Our newspapers are delivered US style too - rolled up in cling film and then thrown on the lawn - so I have to wander out onto the front lawn tousle-haired and half asleep and in my nighty to retrieve it for my breakfast read. Having said that, sometime I wonder why I bother as West Australian newspapers are c**p, and I really miss my Daily Torygraph. I do like the cling wrap in theory as it keeps the paper dry but when the Sat papers are delivered in two or more pieces and they end up at opposite ends of the garden! -- Sue
Guest guest
Yes, not very keen on going down that avenue, how do stop other people taking your mail, what happens when you are away, or just have lots of mail one day and it ends up sticking out of the box and you happen to be out all day. Just thought it might be an open invitation to others that noone was at home. Have written grovelling letter to PO but basically now resigned to going to pick mail up 2 or 3 times a week. Guest guest
- don't a lot of the mail boxes have locks on them? I noticed one such today ... Caro PS If you are away, won't the dog be then too? Could you catch the Postie and tell him then to post it through door again. Chances are too, that you might get a new postie as they never seem to last more than a couple of years... > Yes, not very keen on going down that avenue, how do stop other people > taking your mail, > now resigned to going to pick mail up 2 or 3 times a week. > Curran
