Guest guest
First I have to get to the sink through the things in it; then find a cloth, then find the website, then persuade Vicki to spend more time on the phone and less time shining her sink ;-)) OK, ok I'll have a look.... Caro PS - (before have looked) - what's in it for her? the Mrs Fly I mean... It occurs to me that if she already knows things about the state of the average mother's house, then surely , it must be acceptable to have those things in that state because it has become a completely normal part of motherhood, and that instead of spending five mins shining the sink she could teach us how to read 200 (yes, 200) emails in five minutes!! Oh, and that's just in coffee. Also about 200 on homebirth, 100 on editors etc etc.... > I have to confess, I have joined. Today I have dressed myself from top to > toe (no, really!),
Guest guest
Well not a lot Caro. She started it about two years ago and nearly closed it down in December 1999 with about 100 members. By the end of last year there were 6000, when I joined in July it was about 36,000, last month it hit 50,000 and today I can see there are nearly 56,000. It's spreading by word of mouth mostly. She has always promised that there will be no charge for joining, but there was so much work by the summer that she accepted advertising to help pay her volunteers. There's only four of them working on it. It has helped me so much, that I would have been quite happy to pay a one off $5 charge, or even an annual charge and she could have made a fortune! Guest guest
I imagine there must be quite a kick in helping 56,000 people put their houses and therefore psyches all shining clean!
