Guest guest
Kate, I know this might sound a bit sort of green around the gills and possibly wimpy, but what did you *do* with the stuff you decluttered from these places? I decluttered all around my sink area and then couldn't make a sandwich as the sandwich making area was full of the clutter... so back to Square 1 at the moment. Obviously I need to go back to primary school on the cleaning front. In honour of all this activity, I put on an apron (which haven't done in years, feels dreadfully Midwich Cuckoos or do I mean Stepford Wives?) - chose a tasteful job in red with white stripes which DS gave DH for his birthday (and is curiously in mint condition), but could have chosen a NT one with cats all over. Was just wondering what the fashion in aprons is around the rest of the NCT??? Hey, that's an idea, we should have an NCT logo apron in Mat Sales catalogue!!! Caro off to bed, only 00.17, which is really early on NY time, hope she will be impressed... Just got back from seeing my cousin sing Rodolfo in La Boheme, great production in Epsom... > I have not got round to shining sink yet-I'm working up to it though. > Was worried I might burn out after frenzied de-cluttering yesterday LOL Kate! Hey, that's an >idea, we should have an NCT logo apron in Mat Sales catalogue!!! I've only recently started wearing an apron but I love it. We have a selection - one made by my cousin's nanny last year - she made one for me and one for Steffi as goodbye pressies when we'd been on holiday to Canada and stayed with them. We also have a calico one which is supposed to be DH's - it doesn't cover the top of you though and doesn't protect from flying roast pepper puree (which I was making at 11pm last night!). Our third is a black and white checkerboard effect one. Probably my favourite TBH. We've friends coming for dinner this evening and I'm so relaxed about it even though I've been looking after my friend's two boys today and spent time baking with them. The chicken is marinating, the veg are chopped, the puree was made last night; the cake is baked and only requires its cream whipping. Only thing I'm nervous about is the starter which I've never done before but how wrong can you go with goat's cheese on toast? I'll tell you tomorrow! :-))) -- Sue
Guest guest
I always wear an apron - spoilt too many clothes in the past. Mine is one of those plastic/cotton ones - I got it at Saville Gardens gift shop. An NCT logo apron would be a great idea - especially useful in pregnancy when the bump seems to attract stains. I keep forgetting I have a bump and keep knocking into things! I knocked the phone off the table with it the other day! Guest guest
In article <003c01c169d0$a64f1840$a4237bd5@default>, Caro Heyworth writes >Kate, I know this might sound a bit sort of green around the gills and >possibly wimpy, but what did you *do* with the stuff you decluttered >from these places? I was kind-of assuming that decluttering meant finding all those items a home or throwing them out. I did go and look at the flylady site, but gave up any thought of it ATM as the entire contents of the living room are still spread all over the rest of the house. When I told dh about hotspots, he said the entire house was a hotspot, which didn't exactly inspire me either! I did clean the sink last night, but only because it was spattered with paint from dh cleaning paintbrushes in it - he saw me doing it and asked why - when I explained he said he'd already done that, and was there still paint on it? And I flatly refuse to wear shoes in the house, whatever anyone says. Cath

I've failed at the first 2 hurdles, I have a sink that won't shine and I won't wear shoes. My whole house is a hot spot too. Cerys
