I've been doing this over last couple of weeks and also submitting to FFA sites

I thought it best not to say what I sell in case was accused of Spam.

I have looked at paid for listings on Yahoo but they are very pricey -but seem

the only way to get listed on Yahoo.

Do UK shoppers use Yahoo as a search tool? or is it mainly US

It depends on the board. Sometimes it's expensive (and not worth it!) and

sometimes it's free. My entire annual advertising budget is about £200, so

the bulk of my advertising has to be free. Most boards, if you're giving

advice and participating in the community, will tolerate a link to your

site below your name.

Well, in this case it would be a direct answer to a direct question, so I

think you'd probably get away with it )

I get people from Excite, Yahoo, Alta Vista, and Google. I'm not *aware*

of having anyone from Jeeves. I occasionally get people from Lycos. I

haven't paid for listings on any of these directories. They all have a

free submission policy. I update my submission about once a quarter, to

make sure I continue to come in the top ten. I use SubmitHound or

SubmitWolf (I forget what it's called - something generally canine) which a

friend recommended to me, but you can get it through UK2.reg

Whenever I try to add site to Yahoo it comes up as $200.I'll try the above

submission service .

it seems to be a client (a program that runs on your mac) rather than a site.

Not clear if it is only for Mac OS X

Nope, works with 9 - ought to use it more often really.

(We are Mac disciples at Schloss Vaudin - me of the unthinking sort,

but DH is a pro - considers X the work of the devil. We sit side by

side in bed, he blue iBook, me green (the green was supposed to be

for him but it was too green, so I woke up one morning to find all my

stuff on it!)
