Hi Tamara. First of all, big ((((((hugs)))))) to you. In one of your other

replies, you said that you had already tried some different meds and they didn't

work for you. I can certainly understand that, but may I ask which ones you

have tried and how long have you been on the Prozac?? Not being nosey, honest,

it's just that I've BTDT and still doing it!!! I really do understand. I was

on Prozac for quite a while and it was working really well for a while. But

then, towards the beginning of this year, I was beginning to feel bad

again.....not just depressed but having bad anxiety attacks again and I was back

to my " stress eating " . So, my doc changed my med and it really is helping all

the symptoms of depression and not just the " sad " part.

I do understand about the sexual side effects, I really do. But I thought that

was supposed to go away after a while?? But, of course, I could be wrong! LOL.

Anyway, I just want you to know that I'm here for you, as we all are, and I'm

praying you feel better soon!!

Love, prayers and heart hugs,

Debbie (GA), Mom to Evan (4.5 y/o with ToF, RBBB, Autism Spectrum Disorder,

Asthma); (now a whole year old and HH and NT?); and my 3 angel babies

whom I will finally see when God says it's time!

Hey Debbie. I have tried wellbutrin and another one (can't remember the

name though). I have been on the prozac for almost a year. What is it that

you are using now? Thanks.

Hi Tamara. Right now I am on Effexor and I know it has gotten some " bad press "

too but it's working really well for me. To be completely blunt here......I

have no problems at all with my " sex life " ..... OTHER THAN MY HUSBAND!!! Sorry

- had to get that out. He hasn't touched me since I got pregnant for

and is 13 months old. Ok - done now.....that was WAY OT!!

Seriously, I am praying that you find something that works well for you - soon.

I know how awful the side effects are but I also know how awful that deep and

dark-feeling depression is.

Hugs and prayers to you!!

Debbie E

Thanks Debbie. I think I will ask about that. It seems like there are

several people on that and it is one I haven't tried.

LOL about your husband. Although that wouldn't be too funny after awhile.

I hope you guys are able to work that out. It is such a big part of a

relationship. To me, that is when dh and I are closest emotionally as well

as physcially.

Anyway, thanks so much.
