Guest guest
Any recommendations on the best of these? Boots have some absolutely useless ones. Have seen that Kooshies do them but wonder what they are like. DD2 (18 months) is great at using potty when nothing on her bottom but not good when we put her in knickers. She realises straight away and says wee, and stops, but need something a bit more absorbent than normal knickers. Also where is the second hand website for this sort of thing? Guest guest
www.twinkleontheweb.co.uk Do some excellent trainer pants called Bright Bots - there only £3.50 a pair and come in some funky colours. The place to buy them second hand is www.ukparents.co.uk but you very rarely see any come up for sale. I would be a little wary of the Kooshies ones, they are very plasticy and sweaty IMO, the bright bots are far nicer! Guest guest
Hi Francesca The second hand board is on uk parents: http://www.ukparents.co.uk look on buy and sell nappies board, under the forums link. Bright Bots trainer pants are very good - £3.80 a pair, they are interlock cotton on the outside, with short-loop terry on the inside. They have an enlarged gusset, lined with a layer of foam and a layer of PVC. They hold one wee easily, and can cope with two provided they're not huge! Because the PVC is only on the gusset, the wetness will wick round to the leg bindings and above the gusset so they're not absolutely fool proof, but they do stop the wee gushing down the child's legs, which some children find disturbing. Also, they *look* like knickers, rather than nappies, so are a big psychological step forward! There are some on my site (link below) on the nappies page, and all the big nappy sellers sell them now, I think. Guest guest
Also I've just visited the www.ellashouse.something site and they do 2nd hand as well. However I'd go to plushpants first, out of list loyalty!! (daren't say anything else!) Caro
