Has anybody read Libby Purves' Nature's Masterpiece re children? and

of course her unforgettable other book umm can't remember something

like How to be a Perfect Mother, hilarious (and very comforting and

perspective returning) read?

Am just starting N's M again...find her very sane...I know some people

can't stand her writing tho.

That one's going on my Xmas list ... could do with some comfort and

reassurance with a baby that hates to be anywhere but next to me, a toddler

who is STILL being a monster around the baby and a young person who just

can't be motivated to do a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. Still smiling tho

Oooh I've got her " how NOT to be a perfect mother " one somewhere...

it really tickled my sense of humour - the " from bundle to vandal "

bit was sooo true with DD!

Have just dug it out.

Probably true that you either love it or hate it.. but it descibes my

kids to the T (K?) and just makes me laugh...
