Guest guest
Alec decided to drive poor Jeff crazy this weekend. Now really he is just being Alec but I guess Jeff has been seeing him at his good times lately. Alec decided to escape! This was not uncommon for Alec at all. That would explain all of the chains and locks at our house. So after Greggory's baseball game on Saturday my parents and sister came over to my house and we had hamburgers. I was taking care of Seni and Greggory and Alec were outside on the trampoline. Jeff was out there for a bit too. Then they all came in and greggory closed the door. But he cant reach the top lock. Alec went out to jump again. Jeff said he could see him from his chair and the door stayed open to hear him. Ok. A few minutes later I asked Jeff if Alec was still there and no he wasn't. Ack! Panic and fear as part of our backfence is down and the canal is behind our house. So everyone starts to look. I am calm as he has done this many times. Of couse there is always a part of me that gets the chills. After about 5 mins I call 911 and report alec missing. Jeff runs about 2 miles screaming for Alec. I decide to look 1 more time in Alec's room while my dad and my sister drive around looking for him and my mom yells out the back while taking care of Seni. I find him under the fitted sheet and mattresscover with the bed still made. Bleech! I talk to the police officer when he gets here. He goes up and talks to Alec. Alec had turned on the Spiderman soundtrack. The officer compliments Alec on his choice of music. The Officer understands that Alec is autistic and cant talk and so he smiles and says to call anytime. Jeff comes home and just about collapses. I think Alec is trying to kill him! Guest guest
How fortunate you decided to check his room again! Glad the policeman was so understanding. Tell Jeff to look at it this way, exercise is good for you. ;-) Sue
Guest guest
How scary, glad Alec is OK. Jeff sounds very stressed. He sounds like my Sh, he wants to fix everything and when he can't , its like a failure. Alec again...... Alec decided to drive poor Jeff crazy this weekend. Guest guest
Once again, I just have to say that Ebony and Alec are twins separated at birth. I just know it. Ebony did this exact same thing to me. She climbed over the fence, came in the house and fell asleep in her room in a corner under her comforter. The very last place we look for her is in the house, in her bedroom. I had called the police too and boy did I feel silly. I am glad Alec is ok though. You described that feeling to a T. This has now happened to us so many times that although part of me is panicking, the other part is saying she'll be fine....she's probably at the park, the pool, etc. Heaven forbid if these two ever got together.....lol. Guest guest
LOL....Well Alec and Ebony have the same multiple DXs. So I guess they would have to be alike. Too bad for us. I haven't found anyone to marry Alec off to yet. If we don't kill them before they turn 18 maybe they can get together and live in some crazy house together. Guest guest
I am so glad Alec is safe and sound. I know Zach has done that to us many, many times. It is always scary and terrible, but is so great that you have nice police officers. Hugs to all of you, and I hope DH's heart rate has returned to normal. :^D Libby > The Officer understands that Alec is autistic and cant talk and so > he smiles and says to call anytime. Guest guest
Yeah. I decided I was the best person to actually search for Alec in the house. I must have to find him a million times a day. And Jeff has been saying he wanted to start running again. He used to be a cross country runner and broke and made all sorts of records. So it wasn't that bad. Just bad in sandals! ouch!
